These products are extremely effective, they promote quality of life and are really cool. We want to share with you what is trending right now so you could put together your 2016 wheelchair wish list (I know I have).  In no particular order here are our top products:

Manual Wheelchair Tires

The Marathon has become the absolute benchmark for puncture-resistant pneumatic tires on wheelchairs. A portion of the SmartGuard protection belt is made of recycled natural rubber. The “anti-aging” sidewall construction can withstand typical overloading caused by low inflation pressure for much longer.

RightRun offers effective puncture protection layer, hand-friendly 2Grip side walls, and attractive two color look. It also offers a robust Black’n Roll tread center compound that is non-marking.

Making the impossible, possible! The first folding tire developed exclusively for wheelchairs. It satisfies and combines the requirements of handbikers, indoor sportsmen and everyday users: Ultralight at just 190 g including a highly effective puncture protection layer. The black rubber compound will not leave unsightly marks and so is suitable also for indoor use. Silver sidewalls give it appealing good looks.

Used by Aaron Fotheringham at his spectacular stunt shows where he performs backflips off jumps in his wheelchair. With 30 mm the Airborne is wider and more comfortable than regular wheelchair tires. The additional comfort is not only for a backflip landing. Low weight and low rolling resistance give momentum for rolling in general. In addition, the V-Guard provides excellent puncture protection.

Especially designed for the active, fast moving athlete with a smooth center tread for faster speed and water directing grooves for wet conditions.

An excellent all-purpose road tire and sports tire. Giving you great acceleration and cornering characteristics.

Indoor Sports:

Perfect for the fast moving athlete; offering you speed, agility and great cornering characteristics.

The indoor specialist: Exceptionally nimble and easy running. The center tread is asymmetrically designed to match the wheel camber angle of indoor wheelchairs.

All Terrain:

The Kenda Nevegal is the optimal tire for an assortment of ever-changing terrain. It is highly adaptable and excels under various conditions, from loose rock, tall grass, muddy roots, single track and high speed descents, and many more.

An all-rounder with grip and comfort. With a puncture protection layer and hand friendly 2Grip side walls.

Manual Wheelchair Wheels

Topolino Carbon Core

Born from advanced composite construction and continuous carbon fiber spokes. These amazingly light wheels also have excellent stiffness to achieve a new level of responsiveness, ease, and control.

The LX offers improved under-chair hand access with only 12 spokes. New spoke design is extremely durable. It has very quiet rolling wheels (no spoke creaking) with an ultra-lightweight and attractive design. Minimal maintenance required and great colour options.

Extremely reliable wheel; comfortable for your everyday needs. The Spinergy Spox has very quiet rolling wheels (no spoke creaking) with an ultra-lightweight and attractive design. Minimal maintenance required.

Full carbon fiber wheel rim and pewter PBO bladed spokes make for the lightest possible wheel with the best performance.

Golz TWIN-STAR Exchange Wheelchair Wheels by Out-Front combine the use of thermoplastic fibers with a double spoke design that maximizes durability. This is the power of the TWIN-STAR's revolutionary spoke technology. The TWIN-STAR Exchange Everyday Wheel by Out-Front can provide you with a superior ride that improves performance with enhanced strength.

Standard Spoke Wheels:

The Shadow™ by Out-Front takes the standard spoke/wire wheel to new heights. In fact, there is nothing standard about the Shadow at all. This is a lighter, more durable, higher performing, and sleeker looking wheel than any other "standard on-chair" wheel. They utilize a single hollow section rim (just like high-end wheelchair wheels) for greater hoop strength. Spokes are straight and have a gauge (14 gauge, 2.0mm) commonly used for quality bicycle wheels for proven durability. The entire wheel is finished in matte black for a stealth, understated look that goes well with any color wheelchair frame. Weighs 1.674 pounds (one 24" wheel).

Manual Wheelchair Castors

EPIC 3-Spoke ultra-light aluminum wheels feature a custom made billet 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum hub that is machine lathed for perfect balance. The highly resilient solid urethane tread will not go flat and is designed to minimize energy loss and absorb vibration. Arched tread design ensures the contact surface is spherical to improve pivot ability. The extra width better distributes downward pressure allowing the wheel to maintain higher flotation and does not sink into carpet, gravel, etc. Designed for those who want the ultimate smooth ride.

Manual Wheelchair Handrims

The Natural Fit

The Natural-Fit has a contoured thumb piece and an oval component that together create an optimal ergonomic grip. Size and coating options allow for better customization.

The Surge is an all-in-one, single component handrim with a Gription Strip, a rubber strip that goes all the way around the top surface of the oval for increased friction while leaving the side surface smooth for braking.

The AGX series hand-rims are designed for everyday use. The AGX are comparable, in thickness, to other coated hand rims, however that is where the comparisons end. The "ACTIVE GRIP" technology actually performs better under working conditions. The unmatched grip actually gets tackier while being pushed. The AGX is one of the most controllable hand-rims on the market. No more wasted energy trying to hang on to your hand-rims.

Manual Wheelchair Forks

Frog Legs' Uni-Tine Single Fork

Frog Legs Uni-Tine Caster forks were developed as an option for low-profile wheelchairs where the traditional shock absorbing fork is too tall. The single prong is located on the inside, making it less likely to catch on debris and turn the wheel sideways. It is less likely to scratch items such as cabinets, doorframes, or furniture. Makes cleaning and removing super easy. Get that hair out of your axles. Ideal for carpet and outdoor surfaces.

Imagine being able to roll right over brickwork, cobblestones, broken sidewalks, or door jams. Imagine being able to relax, conserve energy and ride in more comfort and safety. Frog Legs Ultra Sport Shock Absorbing caster forks eliminate 76% of all shock and provide the front casters the ability to lift back, up and over obstacles to minimize pitching.

The Pro Sport Specialized Suspension Caster Fork was initially developed for Aaron “Wheelz” Fotheringham to perfect his radical freestyle chairskating antics.  The Pro Sport Shock Absorber has a similar design as Frog Legs’ traditional everyday shock featuring a “hinge” encapsulating an energy-absorbing polyurethane cylinder.

A more robust version of our standard Ultra Sport Shock Absorber, with the strength and proportion to handle power chair and tilt-in-space applications. This powerhouse fork will absorb nearly 80% of shock and improve your wheelchair's traction by keeping the drive wheels in better contact with the ground. The Big Rig provides over 3" of travel to allow the wheel to lift back, up and over obstacles to prevent pitching.

The Glide is the only suspension caster fork that absorbs impact forces from both vertical and horizontal directions because its suspension element is angled to match the angle of the impact forces. This maximizes the effectiveness of the suspension element and its ability to minimize vibration transferred to the user.
